Another late start for me on Sharp's Ridge (Knoxville) today, 4/30/16,
still paid off but I missed a Black-billed Cuckoo and Red-headed
Woodpecker others saw earlier. Myself and 4 others kept birding through
the afternoon rain showers (with a few rumbles of thunder) and were
still on the ridge until around 3:00pm. I actually returned for a bit
after picking up some groceries because the rain had stopped and got a
few more birds.
