While out on a raptor banding trip on Saturday (we banded 3 American Kestrels
and 1 Red-shouldered Howk) with Jay and Jenna Dedeker, Jay spotted a
Logger-headed Shrike on Hwy 127 north of Dunlap (and .5 miles north of Mt Airy
golf course) Sequatchie Co. As in most parts of the state shrikes have become
quite scarce in this area.
