I was at Bell's Bend from 8-9:30 this morning and had great success. The Sedge Wrens (I saw two) were easy to locate and see because the male was very vocal and quite active, occasionally chasing the other (presumably a female) around a bit. They remained in pretty much the same spot for the entire time I was there. To find them take the path from the visitor's center toward the barn. Take the first path on the left (the dried out pond will be on the right) and walk about 2/3 of the way to the line of trees. The wrens are on the right-hand side of the path, about 30 yards out into the field. You will probably hear the male well before you reach that spot. In the same area I also had a Grasshopper Sparrow on the opposite side of the path. It flushed from the edge of the trail to a shrub then flew well inside the field. Beyond the line of trees I also had White-eyed Vireo, several Prairie Warblers, a Palm Warbler and a Common Yellowthroat. Since I did not venture any farther along the trail where the HensIow's have been seen I heard only two and saw one, but he was fairly cooperative and I got a couple of good looks.
