[TN-Bird] Screech owl on deck early AM

Greetings,
 
This morning, when I opened my kitchen curtains as the sky was just  
beginning to lighten up a little bit here in the Charlotte Park area of West  
Nashville, a screech owl was perched on the deck rail about 15 feet away.   As 
dawn 
began to break more fully, It flew away through my back yard trees  and out of 
sight to its unknown roost.  The bird probably came to my deck  to "mouse."  I 
do have a few mice that come to eat the bird seed during the  night.  For 
several years, I had a screech owl that roosted daily in the  large holly just 
outside my bedroom window.  I could view it at a three  foot distance as it 
slept 
the days away.
