Mr. Murray and others,
I counted several hundred Sandhill Cranes over northern Putnam County (just
north of Cookeville) at midday today. I also observed about 400 cranes
yesterday just before noon.

I saw hundreds of sandhill cranes forming kettles and flying north over
Birchwood in Hamilton County this morning. Are they heading north with a
south or southeast wind behind them? Observers in Crossville, Cookeville,
etc., are you seeing any flocks going north over you today?
