Friday, March 21, Alcoa Greenway, Blount County, TN, in a fenced in field behind U.S. Foods I saw what I am almost certain was a Rusty Blackbird. Its head and mantle were a rich shade of brown, its eyes were pale and it was smaller than the nearby American Robins. I have posted 2 photographs of it to my Flickr site. If you enlarge the photos in the viewer you can clearly see the rusty edging to its wing feathers. Still, since this only the second time I've seen a Rusty Blackbird, I'd appreciate it if someone could take a look at these and let me know what you think. Thanks.
