Ensley Bottoms,
TVA Lake,
and North Treatment Plant
Shelby Co. TN

No water = few birds at Ensley but nice First of Season treats. An adult,
male Ruddy Turnstone was found on the dry bed of the large pit and another
molting female was turning clods at TVA Lake. Three Blue-winged Teal and 16
Northern Shovelers indicate more birds are on the way.........Tomorrow!! as
winds are turning and will put new birds on the ground. Cooper's,
Red-shouldered immature, Red-tails and Kestrels kept the few shorebirds birds
stirred up.

At the North Treatment Plant, the opposite problem as they have flooded all
the areas, covering any flats but in the vegetation 2 immature Stilt
Sandpipers were up to their bellies in the deep water.
Still No Sandbars, but the Mississippi will drop a few feet in the next few
days and it looks like it is dropping all the way to St. Louis this time
;o).

Good Birding !!!
