I had my first male Purple Martin show up at the nesting colony in the yard on
Monday (March 24). This is one of the latest arrival dates since I've had the
colony.

I had my FOS Blue-headed Vireo yesterday at the TWRA Parker Branch Wetlands,
just east of Trenton, on Hwy 186, in Gibson County.

I also had my FOS Vesper Sparrow yesterday just down the road from my house,
just west of Trenton, in the Mt. Orange community, in Gibson County.

I saw where Reuben Stoll and a couple of others attempted a March Big Day
yesterday and ended up with 105 species. There were some questions about
Tennessee Big Days on the Tennessee Birding Facebook page yesterday so I
thought I'd post the link to my Tennessee Birding Big Days page again:

http://tnbirdingbigdays.webs.com/

BTW, the March Big Day record is 111 species by Phillip Casteel, Jay
Desgrosellier, and Chris Sloan from 31 March 2002. I will update my page and
add Reuben and company's effort to the list.

Good birding,
