Beginning on Sunday, September 5, 2021, and continuing through today, Tuesday,
September 07, 2021, I saw a few first-of-the-season birds (FOS) and a couple of
first-of-the-year birds (FOY). On Sunday my first two (FOS) Magnolia Warblers
of the fall were observed at my property in Birchwood (Hamilton County).
Monday, I noted a FOY Ovenbird, also on my property. A FOY juvenile Kentucky
Warbler was seen on my property today. Five FOS Pine warblers were also located
today – three at Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge (Meigs County at Birchwood) and two
more at home. One FOS fall Swainson’s Thrush was seen late today at my home
property.
