Radnor Lake State Natural Area Davidson Co. Nashville, TN Friday September 8, 2006 7-9 am What a difference 2 days make. This morning was completely different from Wednesday. There was essentially nothing at the dam, but I did find several nice flock on my walk along the Lake Trail to Long Bridge and back. Unlike Wednesday when TENNESSEE WARBLERs were numerous, the dominant warbler today was AMERICAN REDSTART. In fact I did NOT see any TENNESSEEs today. All together, I found 8 species of warblers, the best of which was my first GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER of the year. Also seen were YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO, WHITE-EYED and RED-EYED and WARBLING VIREOs, as well as SWAINSON'S THRUSH and SUMMER TANAGER. Birds of interest included: Wood Duck 17 Yellow-billed Cuckoo 1 Swainson's Thrush 3 Brown Thrasher 1 Cedar Waxwing -- heard White-eyed Vireo 3 Red-eyed Vireo 1 Warbling Vireo 1 Blue-winged Warbler 2 Golden-winged Warbler 1 Magnolia Warbler 4 Black-throated Green Warbler 1 Black-and-white Warbler 2 American Redstart 10, of which 2 were adult males Ovenbird 2 Kentucky Warbler 1 Summer Tanager 1 -- Frank Fekel Tennessee State University Center of Excellence in Information Systems 3500 John A.
