I haven't yet read all the replies to this post, so this may have already been 
said... but I noticed the bird had a habit of opening its wings right before 
diving, and I never saw any white (assuming this is the same bird that was 
there a few days ago).

Received a pic from Jerry Webb today who has birded Radner lake recently and 
photographed the Scoter. It appears to be a White-winged? Does anyone have any 
opinions? -JT
