River Plantation Subdivision Bellevue Southwest Davidson Co., TN 24 Oct. 2004 Sunday morning, 24 Oct., I was surprised to see an unexpected bird in my postage-stamp sized yard in River Plantation. I awoke bleary eyed and wandered to my front window about 7 am where I stared out expecting to see the usual cardinals and titmice. Movement on the ground forced me to get my binoculars, which revealed two BOBWHITEs. As they scurried in and out of the shrubs I eventually found 6 of them, and there may have been more that I missed, before they went over the bank and down toward the Harpeth River some 50 yards or so from my front door. It is always nice to see these little bundles of energy up close. -- Frank Fekel Tennessee State University Center of Excellence in Information Systems 330 10th Avenue North Nashville, TN 37203 USA =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net is owned by the Tennessee Ornithological Society Neither the society(TOS) nor its moderator(s) endorse the views or opinions expressed by the members of this discussion group.
