[TN-Bird] Purple Martins In Chattanooga Area

    This afternoon we have 3 male and 1 female Purple Martins at our gourds at 
The Honors Golf Course in Ooltewah. Of the past five years this is the second 
earliest date I have seen them here. The earliest date I have ever seen them 
was Feb. 22, 2005.
    If the past holds true, it may be several days before I see them again. 
Also it is usually well up into April before they can be seen all day long 
every day. Unfortunately the earlier I see them in late winter the sooner they 
leave after the nestling fledge in the summer.
