4/29/2013 Humphreys County, Duck River Unit, Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge. Leo and James Schrock, Alan Troyer and I got a few hours off to run over to the refuge yesterday evening. Along with the previously posted Purple Gallinule, We also had a Scissor Tailed Flycatcher in the flooded corn stubble field after exiting the Wildlife Drive and turning left, on the righthand side. In the small puddles along the road there were about 30 Least Sandpipers, 2 Semipalmated Sandpipers, 9 Semipalmated Plover, 1 Dowitcher, Probably Long Billed.
