[TN-Bird] Purple Gallinule in Knox County

Knox County

While hunting down a warbler at the edge of the lake, I happened
to look down and see a Purple Gallinule standing on a log beneath
the overhanging privet. We stared at each other for about a minute
and then it flew to the other side of the lake.

This is the first live Purple Gallinule I've seen in Knox County.
I've had multiple people call me over the years about "this really
weird bird I found dead on the road".
