We thought we had reached our peak in numbers on April the 2nd, with an
estimate of 42 Purple Finches. However, there definitely seemed to be more
today! I estimate at least 55 total today....and that is probably a low
estimate because the trees seemed full of them. I snapped a cellphone photo of
nearly 30 birds working one feeder station....and there were birds on our other
feeder station and in the trees at the same time.
