On Saturday 31 March 2012 I obswerved three Common Loons at the Lake Ocoee
Marina in Polk County. All three birds were in breeding plummage. This is only
my secomd record of this species in the county.

On 30 March 2012 I observed 14 Blue-winged Teal feeding on the upper end of
Lake Ocoee/Parksville Lake. This was my first record of this species in the
county.

The Bald Eagle on the lake has two chicks that appear to be growing and doing
very well. at least one adult Bald is at the nest at all times.

The Great Horned Owl nest has two large chicks that are beginnig to replace the
down with feathers. i have not seen an adult on the nest for at least two weeks.
