On Saturday, June 26, I had a single Pine Siskins present at my home in
Hampton (Carter Co.), TN. The siskin was at the thistle feeders with several
American Goldfinches.
I had almost concluded that the siskins had finally departed after not seeing
any for several days. So, seeing this siskin was a nice bonus.

At the same time, a Brown Thrasher was present in the Blue Spruce where the
thistle feeders hang. I don't think the thrasher was interested in thistle,
just all the commotion. The thrasher is probably one of a pair that is raising
some fledglings along the wooded edge of the yard.

Hampton, TN
