Two adult males and 6 female type BLACK SCOTERS were seen floating on the
Tennessee River today from Tom's Creek on the Perry County side. The birds
were moving around a lot to avoid the river traffic, and spent time in both
Perry and Decatur Counties.
This would represent a first County record for either of these Counties,
I believe.
An adult GOLDEN EAGLE was also seen in Perry County today, headed South
over the Lobelville Bottoms. This is my first of the season.
Several VESPER SPARROWS continue in Lobelville Bottoms, a ROSS'S GOOSE
was seen feeding with Canadas at Tom's Creek, and a MERLIN across the
river from Mouse tail Landing State Park were seen today, as well.
