On Friday, 7-19-02 I observed (5) LEAST SANDPIPERS in very crisp
juvenile plumage along with (1) PECTORAL SANDPIPER at Eagle Bend Fish
Hatchery in Clinton, TN Anderson County North of Knoxville. 1 Spotted
Sandpiper was seen with no spots.
There were numerous Green Herons (28+) feeding in the fish pools as well
as were Great Egret/ GBlue Heron and (2) F BLACK CROWNED NIGHT HERON. A
few of the ponds have recently been drawn down.
There were quite a few Barn and Cliff Swallows around also.
