Friends, For anyone interested, I've uploaded a sizeable gallery from a trip I did last month to the west coast. This trip was planned around a Holland America repositioning cruise from San Diego up to Vancouver, which of course is now the by far easiest way to see the 3 regularly occuring species of Pterodroma petrels of the Lower 48 west coast (not including Mottled here). The cruise totalled 4 days, and I birded 6 days in southern Cal beforehand, and 4 days in WA State afterwards. It was a very successful trip, with an unexpected 8 ABA/life birds, plus some new photo birds and just good birding in general: ABA/Lifers were: Sooty Grouse Gray Partridge Hawaiian Petrel (ABA) Yellow-footed Gull Island Scrub-Jay Sky Lark (ABA) Hermit Warbler (ABA) Nutmeg Mannikin (ABA) The gallery has 3 seperate sub-galleries, for the different portions of the trip. As usual, the photos will look best at the 'original' size under the photo. The gallery can be found in the top row of my galleries at: http://www.pbase.com/mctodd/ , with a thumbnail of a Cook's Petrel. Good Birding!!
