I ventured up to the Davidson County side of Old Hickory Lake yesterday
afternoon during the storm. Michael Bierly told me years ago that Snow
Bunting Peninsula was a good place during bad weather because shorebirds and
other birds often would rest there with all the fishing boats gone. I have
often found him to be right about that, but nothing much today. Ed
Schneider was there right before me and had a Spotted Sandpiper. My most
interesting sighting was a westbound Peregrine Falcon that never even slowed
down.
