One looks like a fairly typical Gadwall with maybe some molt around the
head and body. The other one is quite interesting. I would have written
it off as a domestic, but seeing it fly so closely with the other bird
makes me think that it is a leucistic Gadwall.

Hello! My mom took pictures of a "white duck" and a "dark duck" today in
Iowa at a country pond. Looking at the pictures, the dark duck appears to
be a gadwall with a ring neck. I'm assuming it is a hybrid. The other
duck looks like a domestic duck, however, I guess it could be a leucistic
female gadwall. Thoughts on the two birds? There are three photos. One
white, one dark, and the birds together in flight.
