Hi Folks, Gatlinburg got 8 inches of snow this weekend! So the sheduled LAST public meeting regarding the Northshore Road has been cancelled. They will instead have a meeting on Tuesday, February 21 at 4:30 pm at Sugarlands Visitor Center. Ok, now the propaganda... there was a small turnout of "no road" people at the Knoxville meeting. There were more folks who got bussed in from North Carolina. So please! try to attend this meeting. Building a road through the biggest roadless area in the eastern US is bad for birds, salamanders and other critters we all want to see in the National Park.
