[TN-Bird] No Smith's Longspurs today

Tony Lance and Ruben Stoll and company came up this afternoon to try for the 
Smith's Longspurs. We covered most all of the short grass areas in the field, 
which was a lot of territory. Unfortunately the longspurs were not seen or 
heard, however we did have a couple of highlights. We flushed 1 Short-eared 
Owl, which provided good looks as it flew over the hillside. Then we had a 
group of 21 Northern Harriers flying fairly close to each other after flushing 
from the ground and woody vegetation. I thoroughly enjoyed birding with the 
group this afternoon even though the longspurs were a no-show...hope the 
longspurs make a re-appearance next week!
