DEC. 23, 2005 Shelby Farms Shelby Co. TN Tunica Co. MS I watched a Northern Harrier take a Ring-billed Gull in flight, which he dispatched and ate. A male Harrier is smaller than a Ring-bill and this encounter came as a surprise to me. I've seen Harrier's take Green-winged Teal and was told by Ben Coffey that one drowned a Coot in front of him one day. I added a couple of shots of this Macho Man. I also added a few more photos comparing Lesser Canada and Cackling Geese.
