If you are in the Nashville area this Thursday, September 15, please join
us for our monthly meeting and program. The meeting will start at 7:15 p.m.
at the Warner Park Nature Center 7311 Hwy 100, Nashville, but come join us
at 6:00 p.m. for our fall Pot Luck Dinner Celebration. Please bring your
favorite picnic fare and / or dessert to share with the group. Paper
products and drinks provided by NTOS.
Our program this month is The Magic of African Bird Masks by Marion Pratt.
Marion will provide background information on bird-related myths, folklore,
and rituals, and will bring a half-dozen or more bird masks from countries
in West and Central Africa, where she worked and lived intermittently from
1981 through 2011. This will be something new and fascinating!
