Saturday, June 6 - Franklin Battleground Park and Brentwood's Deerwood
Arboretum

Danny Shelton will lead us as we bird the wetlands and open areas of
Franklin Battleground Park, which is adjacent to the Carnton Plantation in
Williamson Co. Then we'll head over to Brentwood's Deerwood Arboretum and
walk
on its paved/dirt trails which run next to two ponds, through the woods,
and along the Harpeth River. This trip will last just the morning, but bring
a lunch and we'll eat at the covered outdoor tables there. Meet at 7:00
at the Walgreens parking lot at the intersection of Franklin Rd. and Old
Hickory Blvd, just west of I-65 South exit 74.

For those wanting to meet at the Battleground Park, be there by 7:20.
From the intersection of Mack Hatcher Pkwy and Hwy 96, go south on Mack
Hatcher 1.4 miles. Turn right onto Lewisburg Pk/Hwy 431 and go 1.4 miles.
Take
a sharp left onto Carnton Lane. At the end of Carnton Lane bear left
before entering the Carnton Mansion gates, and bear left again and through the
open gate to the Battleground Park. The parking lot at the old golf course
clubhouse is where we'll meet. All are welcome to join us.
