If you are in the Nashville area this Thursday, May 16, please join the
Nashville Chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society for our monthly
meeting and program at the Radnor Lake State Park Visitor Center, 1160
Otter Creek Rd. Nashville. We'll gather at 7:00 p.m. and the meeting starts
at 7:15 p.m.
The program is Nashville Zoo's Role In Songbird Conservation by Avian
Curator Joe deGraauw,
Zoos are known for exhibiting and saving exotic species. However, in the
last five years there has been a conscious effort in the zoo community to
educate our visitors, improve husbandry techniques and lead in conservation
efforts of our native songbirds.
Public always welcomed.
