Murfree Spring Wetland Rutherford Co. 3/15/12 The original pair of Blue-winged Teal appear to have set up semi-permanent residence at the wetland, but I haven't seen the other five males in a couple weeks. It'll be interesting to see how long the pair sticks around. The Wood Ducks were unusually active today, with many pairs flying back and forth between different sections of the marsh. Perhaps this is a time-of-day thing? I don't typically get out there in the evening like I did today. The only other observation of note was a Eurasian Collared-Dove flyover. Swamp Sparrows and Ruby-crowned Kinglets are still easy to find. No warblers yet. Daniel Estabrooks
