The Warioto Audubon Society covered parts of Montgomery County for the Fall North American Migration Count (NAMC) on 17 September 2011. Eight participants, including 1 feederwatcher, tallied 80 species (plus 2 Empidinax flycatchers) during the count. Notable species for the area included 3 Northern bobwhite, 1 Great egret, 2 Northern harriers, 2 Eurasian collared-doves, 1 Warbling vireo, and 1 Mourning warbler. Weather during the count was sunny with mild temperatures and light wind.
