Radnor Lake State Natural Area
Davidson Co., TN
2016 September 12

This Monday morning before heading to work I stopped at Radnor Lake
to see what the weekend front had brought in. By far the best flock
of migrants was along the road up to the aviary. I ended the brief
morning visit with 45 species including 12 species of warblers, one
of which was my first GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER of the year.

Warblers:
Worm-eating  1
Golden-winged 2 males
Blue-winged   2
Black-and-white  2
Tennessee     2
Nashville     1
Am. Redstart  2
N. Parula     4
Magnolia      6
Bay-breasted  1
Chestnut-sided 2
Black-throated Green 1

BLUE JAYs are certainly moving through in numbers and there was a large
COMMON GRACKLE flock of well over 200 birds. On the lake there was a
raft of BLUE-WINGED TEAL.
