It's been a busy summer with little time for birding, even in the back yard. Have managed to pick up a few migrants passing through this month including 6 warbler species, mostly local breeders dispersing. Today was by far the best with the first multi-warbler- species day (3 first of fall). List follows for about 30 min spent birding in the backyard (west Knox Co) starting around 7:15AM today (31 Aug 2010). -- Tennessee Warbler, FOF, at least 1 very actively foraging (always a good omen to see one before the first UT game) -- Black-and-White Warbler, 2 -- Cerulean Warbler, 1 FOF -- Magnolia Warbler, 1 FOF -- Red-eyed Vireo, 1 Dean Edwards Knoxville, TN =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to SIGN YOUR MESSAGE with first and last name, CITY (TOWN) and state abbreviation.
