We took advantage of our first morning at home in a while and birded around the
yard. We had a few neotropical migrants; chimny swift, ruby-throated humming
bird, blue-gray gnatcatcher, northern parula, black and white warbler, prairie
warbler, Amernican redstart, prothonoary warbler, and hooded warbler.
A small flock of pine siskins, unusual for our yard, passed through. We are
also excited to have observed a pair of wood ducks visiting a natural tree
cavity in the woods to the south!
