I saw the immature White Ibis around 11:45 A.M. on the larger pond on the north
side of highway 163 in McMinn County. The Clendenens described the location
well in their post from 7/16/16. There is ample room to park on the side of the
highway. From there I went on to Athens and had a great lunch. About 2 P.M. as
I traveled back south on I-75, I stopped at the pond again. This time I saw one
immature Yellow-crowned Night Heron, and one Green Heron. I didn't see the ibis
again, but it might have been in a corner I couldn't see. I didn't see any
birds on the smaller pond on the south side of highway 163.

At 0910 we found Rick Houlk's 2 imm. Yel.-crowned Night-herons and 1 Green
Heron at the ponds on SR-163 about 1 mile SE of I-75 exit 36. We also see 1
imm. White Ibis at the pond on the NE side of SR-163 at CR-35. Phone system
will not let me spell B o w a t e r s as a word. There was 1 Red-headed
Woodpecker at the Night-herons pond on the SE side.
