Sadly I wish to inform Tennessee birders of the passing of Terry Witt. He died
yesterday 8/8/2021 in his home in Bradenton Fla after an extended illness. His
wife Carol and his daughters were at his side. He was a prodigious birder for
many decades. He birded Tennessee, US, and all over the world. In his last
couple of years he birded Florida extensively as well.
He was a mentor to many including myself. If I had not had the fortune of being
his next door neighbor, I likely would not have enjoyed this pastime and the
resulting friendships all these years. For that I am truly grateful.
Arrangements have not been made at this time.
