This morning (9-18) at Musick's Campground on South Holston Lake, in northeast Tenn., an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull was seen by Larry McDaniel, Rack Cross & myself. This is the first record in the 5-county area. The gull was last seen flying down the lake & was not relocated , as of noon. Also seen: Laughing Gull - 2 (holdovers from yesterday) Com. Tern - 8 Green-wg. Teal - 3 Eared Grebe - 3 Bald Eagle - 2 ad. (Latter birds also seen by Tom & J.T. McNeil) Down the road a bit I added: Northern Waterthrush Yellow-br.
