I conducted the Petersburg Breeding Bird Survey on June19 and recorded a Lark Sparrow for the first time in 29 years of running the route. Other birds of note were 1 Baltimore Oriole and a Warbling Vireo. In contrast, I recorded no Northern Bobwhite for the first time. When I first ran this route bobwhite were very common. Also missed were Dicksissels and Loggerhead shrike. David Vogt
