There is an adult lesser black-backed gull in with a flock of about 400 gulls (mostly ring-billed) at Ish Creek Embayment at Scenic Point Subdivision near Louisville, Blount County. The bird has solid very dark gray wings, yellow legs and feet and a yellow bill with a red spot. It is noticeably larger than the ring-billeds and once perched up above them on a stump.

You can see the flock of gulls from Old Lowe's Ferry Road (where you can park) before you get to the entrance gate into Scenic Point Subdivision. With the water lowered there is an old foundation now above the water out beyond the osprey platform and that is where the gulls have been for the past few days.

They gulls usually leave all together every day about 5 PM. I suspect they fly over to the main channel and roost with other gulls maybe in the Concord Park area
