Today at noon I found a juv. Long-billed Dowitcher at Austin Springs, near Johnson City. It was on the lakeshore mudflats in the company of 5 Dunlins. The ID was confirmed by call. There are few verified records of Long-bill in northeast Tenn., most dowitchers IDed to species here are Short-bills. Also present: Greater Yellowlegs - 1 N.
