On Sunday, February 24, 2008, David Trently of the Knoxville TOS Club will
lead a field trip to Kyker Bottoms. Start time is 8:30; however, David will
be there at 7 a.m. and anyone is welcome to join him - call for meeting
place. The recent rains have resulted in better conditions for waterfowl and
hundreds of ducks were seen last weekend plus many other species.

Kyker Bottoms is located in southwest Blount County. It lies along Ninemile
Creek a few miles west of Tellico Lake and features fields, wetlands, and
thickets managed primarily for small game and waterfowl. 
 
Come join us; bring water, a snack and boots!
