[TN-Bird] Knox County Am. Tree Sparrow

I was close to Forks of the River today looking at limestone bluffs
along the river. Birding was not my primary purpose. While I did have
my binoculars, I had nothing else with me(Not even a cell phone!) to
take a picture. I unintentionally flushed some sparrows and then
psshed to try to see them. I noticed one in particular was different.
I thought my brain was playing a Chipping Sparrow joke on me, but this
bird had a rusty colored crown, eye line, wings and back, a lone
blurry breast spot, pale breast, and slightly darker flanks. I'm going
back tomorrow with a camera. Stephany Mcnew Knoxville TN
