Please note that the Knoxville Chapter of the Tennessee Ornithological Society
(KTOS) will hold a field trip this coming Saturday. Here is the (edited) note
from the current KTOS newsletter (which can be viewed at tnbirds.org)

Saturday, June 23rd 8:00 am
Cherohala Skyway
Leader: Tony King
Meet at the Hardee?s in Tellico Plains at 8:00 am or contact David Trently for
information about carpooling from Knoxville. (dtrently@xxxxxxx); 865-531-1473
We will be returning in the late afternoon so bring lunch and drink.
Possible species include Veery; Common Raven; Black-capped Chickadee;
Blue-headed Vireo; Chestnut-sided, Black-throated Blue, Canada, and Hooded
Warblers; and Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

Please join us if you can. The higher elevations will offer some cooler
temperatures and nice views. Bring your camera.
There will not be any hiking, but perhaps a few short walks.
We will also be learning about butterflies and a few dragonflies, and looking
for wildflowers.
I will be *leaving* from Knoxville by 7:00 a.m. Please join me for carpooling
from there (usual place at Cedar Bluff Road in west Knox)
