east Tenn...Roane County...Kingston Steam Plant

Saturday, March 10, there will be a field trip by the Knoxville Chapter of the
Tennessee Ornithological Society to the Kingston Steam Plant in Roane County.

Participants may meet at 320 North Cedar Bluff Road in west Knoxville (north
of I-40, on the right as you go north, before the McDonalds, Exit 378) for a
1:00 departure. We should arrive at the ball fields of the Plant by 1:45 p.m.
directions to the steam plant available at
http://tnbirds.org/birdfinding/KingstonSteamPlant.htm

We will walk about a mile of potentially dusty or muddy ground, scanning for
sparrows, waterfowl, gulls, herons, pipits...... Brown-headed Nuthatches are
possible, and we'll try to see them if anyone is interested.

We should be there 2-3 hours.
