Knoxville TOS Field Trip this Saturday (Mar. 30) will be to the Three
Bend Scenic Area and Wildlife Refuge on the Oak Ridge Dept. of Energy
Reservation.  Beautifully scenic 3,000 acre area overlooking Clinch
River--mostly open grassland and scrub with ponds and inlets, and some
forest,, and several old barns.
'Guaranteed Birds':
Osprey currently building nests
Tree Swallows
Nesting Phoebes, Bluebirds
TARGET Birds:
Raptors: Red-shouldered, Red-tailed Hawks, No. Harrier, Barn Owl, Great
Horned Owl, Bald Eagle, Black and Turkey Vultures
Swallows: Tree, No. Rough-winged, Cliff, and Purple Martins
Early Migrants: Gnatcatcher, Yellow-throated and Prairie Warblers
Sparrows:  Various wintering sparrows plus early grassland migrants.
Wild Turkey
MEET:  7:30 am Back of Walmart Parking Lot off main road into Oak Ridge
(Illinois Ave)  (back side near Comfort Inn).
