Hello birders,
Yesterday morning I saw in the span of 5 mins 4 Cedar Waxwings, a Baltimore
Oriole, a Scarlet Tanager, and a magnificent Yellow-billed Cuckoo. They all
came for a brief stop in one of 3 trees in my backyard. This morning I
added 20 more Waxwings and 1 Rose-breasted Grossbeak. Not bad for a
normally no very exciting backyard close to downtown Nashville.
Good birding to you all!

I was about to go back inside, a magnificent Yellow-billed Cuckoo! They all
came to a brief stop in the solitary tree in my backyard. I'm sure they
were all part of a mixed flock traveling together. A reminder to keep
paying attention to our otherwise unexciting backyards in proximity to
downtown Nashville.
