On November 16 at 9 am a male finch visited my backyard sunflower seed feeder
in Nashville for about 5 minutes. It was not accompanied by a female. I snapped
several photos, one of which is attached. Is it a house finch or purple finch?
Some of my photos were called "house finch" and some were called "purple finch"
by my Merlin photo identifier. I have not seen the bird since that day. Thank
you for responding.
