[TN-Bird] Hiwassee Ross's Geese

At the crane overlook at Hiwassee refuge today (Dec. 24), along with the 
hordes of Sandhill Cranes, there were 9 Ross's Geese grazing along with 12 
Snow Geese (9 of which were blue phase). Although we understand that Ross's 
Geese are becoming regular in TN, for birders from the East Coast used to 
scanning/struggling through thousands of Snow Geese in hopes of finding the 
rare Ross's, this was a special treat. (No Whooping Cranes were found, but 
there was a good variety of waterbirds, including 7 Great Egrets on the main 
river.)
