As Rick Knight has posted (on Bristol Birds and TN-birds) the Herndon Bird Club had an enjoyable and successful field trip to Rankin Bottoms this afternoon. Twelve birders participated: Rick Knight, Charles Moore, John Whinery, Neal and Jean Henson, Brookie and Jean Potter, Chris Soto, David Hall, Lois Cox, Wilma Boy, and myself. Although the weather was hot and humid, we were lucky to avoid almost all rain while observing at Rankin Bottoms. Thanks to Rick Knight for leading the trip.
