Harpeth River Greenway Along Old Harding and Morton Mill Road SW Davidson Co. Sunday, 2010 Nov. 14 7:15-8:35 am trying to clear, cool An early morning Sunday walk at the Harpeth River Greenway produced 2 nice bird. A SAVANNAH SPARROW was seen well along the walking path next to the lake before the 0.25 mile marker. There were at least 2 WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWs, an immature and an adult, with the adult singing from time to time. Later as I search for GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETs that were calling from some dense brush, I spied the rear end bob of a NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH and got good looks at is foraged near the ground. There were still numerous AMERICAN ROBINs and CEDAR WAXWINGs about to make spotting interesting.
